Technical Specifications
To prevent issues accessing the financial aid application, please ensure your computer meets the following technical specifications.
- Use
Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge (Do NOT use Safari or Chrome, dependent on
user settings, sometimes does not submit properly)
- Try to use
a wired connection instead of a wifi connection
- Change
your security setting to low (user specific firewalls and security settings
affect submission)
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I get a confirmation email after my application has been successfully submitted?
- No, you do not. To check if your application was submitted successfully, log in, click on Menu, and click on Financial Aid Application. If it was submitted successfully, you would see the Application Status as Submitted with a Status Date.
- If you do not see the Application Status and Status date, make sure to read over the technical specifications, and submit again.
- Do I need to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)?
- If you are a US citizen or permanent resident of the US and you are currently receiving federal aid, you will also need to complete the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Be sure to use the GSD federal school code E00212 on the FAFSA.
- I've been locked out of my account, how do I unlock it?
- Email financial_aid@gsd.harvard.edu and we will unlock it.
- My Harvard key/login credentials are invalid. What do I do?
- The financial aid system is different from the systems that use Harvard Key, your username is generally your GSD email address.
- When will I receive my 2026-2027 financial aid package?
- Returning students will be notified of their 2026-2027 financial aid package by late June 2026.
- When can I start the supplemental loan process?
- You can start the supplemental loan process in June 2026. You will receive an email when the process opens.
